Special Education Programs

The South Jefferson Central School District provides a variety of educational programs, supports and services for students with disabilities. The district special education team consists of 22 certified special education teachers, speech pathologists/therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, building counselors and about 40 para-professionals providing services to approximately 385 students.
The Committee on Special Education (CSE) and the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), work very closely with families and school personnel to develop individual education programs that help guide the educational supports for students with disabilities.
